(TRADE) MacLean x Parker

The Fredericton Red Wings trade player Neil MacLean (March 21st, 2002) to the Pictou Crushers for player Colin Parker (May 25th, 2003) and Pictou’s 4thround (42nd overall) in the 2020 draft.

The Fredericton Red Wings are proud to announce the acquisition of Prospect Colin Parker. A native of Newport, Nova Scotia, Parker has played the last two seasons with the Valley Wildcats of the NSMMHL and finished 5thin team scoring with 21 points in 27 games.

“Colin plays the game the right way. His mix of work ethic and skill will be a key piece to our team in the future,” said Red Wings Head Coach Brian Casey. Casey also stated that he is excited to add a player like Parker to the Red Wings organization.

Parker started last season in Pictou as a 16-year-old before returning to Major Midget with the Valley Wildcats. He (Parker) also represented Team Nova Scotia at the 2019 Canada Winter Games and the Under 16 Gatorade Challenge.

The Red Wings are pleased that MacLean will be enrolling at Saint Francis Xavier University this Fall to pursue his studies. Thank you, Neil, for the dedication that you gave to the Red Wings, we wish you a very successful future. Thank you for being a Red Wing.
