Trade Deadline Brings New Players to the Red Wings

The Fredericton Red Wings continued to build for the future in the Maritime Hockey League.
On the final day of the Junior A trading period, the Red Wings made a number of moves to bolster their lineup this season and beyond.
Fredericton dealt the rights of centre Aiden MacIntosh to the Amherst Ramblers for Brandon Casey. The Red Wings also picked up a second round draft pick in 2021 and future considerations.
General manager Brent Grant also sent defenceman Tyler Browning and a second round draft pick in 2021 to the Grand Falls Rapids and the rights to Dixon MacLeod for Patrick Musico.
‘This has been a tough week for us because we like our kids so much,’ said Grant. ‘We have made some great acquisitions for our future and will be a very good team. It’s just tough to see players who really loved Fredericton move on.’
The Red Wings are back on home ice Thursday night at the Grant*Harvey Centre, welcoming Browning and the Rapids.
