(TRADE) – Justin Lush

Fredericton Red Wings x Edmundston Blizzard Trade

The Fredericton Red Wings are excited to acquire defencemen Justin Lush from the Edmundston Blizzard in a trade for Fredericton’s conditional 3rdround pick at the 2020 draft. Lush completes the Evan White trade agreement from the past season.

Lush, a Gagetown local, played Midget Hockey with the Fredericton Caps of the Major Midget Hockey League, where he won the league’s top defencemen in 2016-2017.

Lush who played his past three seasons with the Edmundston Blizzard, has played a total of 137 career games in the MHL. A defensive defenceman at 5’11 185lbs, Lush brings strength to the Red Wings defence core.

Being among the MHL’s Top Defencemen, Lush will be a key piece to the Red Wings lineup this coming season. “Justin is a reliable defenceman who plays solid at both ends of the ice. His experience and the leadership that he will bring to our team will be valuable to the organization” said Fredericton Red Wings Head Coach Brain Casey.

We are proud to see Justin return to Fredericton and become a part of the Red Wings family.
