(TRADE) Red Wings x Valley

The Fredericton Red Wings have acquired from the Valley Wildcats players Lewis Taylor, (17) Goaltender Andrew MacLeod (20), and Valley’s first round pick in the 2020 draft for Aaron Brown and Marc-Antoine Couture.

Lewis Taylor

A native of Antigonish, Nova Scotia Taylor is a high-end prospect who played last season with the Cape Breton West Islanders in the NSMMHL.

The fast skating Taylor led the West Islanders in scoring and 14thin league scoring with 18 goals and 21 assists for 39 points in 35 games. At 5’10 185 lbs, Lewis plays the game at a high pace and will be a great fit to the Red Wings culture.

Cape Breton’s West Head Coach Nick MacNeil offered this quote about Lewis Taylor “Lewis is a power forward and great scoring touch around the net. His game improved a lot in the second half this year with us and I look forward to see where his game will take him”.

Andrew MacLeod

The Fredericton Red Wings are proud to have acquired goaltender Andrew MacLeod. The native of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia MacLeod is viewed as one of the top goalies in the Maritime Hockey League.

At 6’1 190 lbs, MacLeod has started in 52 career games with Pictou and posted very impressive numbers this past season 2.36 GAA with a .914 SVS%. A very athletic style goalie, Andrew brings a wealth of experience to an important Red Wings position.
