The Fredericton Red Wings are excited to announce that Nathan Casey has signed with the team for the 2020-2021 season. The 16-year-old forward made his Junior Hockey career debut this past weekend against the Edmundston Blizzard and the Grand Falls Rapids. With the recent departure of forward Eliot Bergbauer, the Red Wings feel confident they replaced an important forward in the speedy Casey.
Casey played last season with Mount Saint Charles Academy in Woonsocket, Rhode Island where he registered 17 goals and 25 assists for 42 points. The young forward was the Red Wings 9th round draft pick and the Moncton Wildcats 4th round pick in both 2020 drafts.
President of the Red Wings, Roger Shannon, is excited to see what Casey will bring to the team. “Nathan comes from hockey. Dad was a very good player and the entire family are passionate hockey people. He, Casey, plays the game with speed and makes our team quicker every time he steps on the ice. He has a hockey future.”
Welcome to the Red Wings Nathan!
